3D Scanning artwork is something we have done many times here at Wellstronics3D. One specific example of this is when an individual contacted us looking to see if we could replicate a sculpted model and then modify that model so it could be used in a bronze casting process. The sculpted model was 3D scanned and converted to a mesh file (.STL). Once the file was properly prepared, we then modified that file by giving it a hollow shape that could be 3D printed out of a low temp plastic. The model is what was used to build the investment casting.
