We have been 3D printing many different CT and MRI scans for hospitals and surgeons.  The CT and MRI scan are completed at the hospital.  The hospital then takes the DICOM file is then converts it to a mesh file (.STL) and then that file is securely transferred to our facility.  Once we have the file in house, we then make specific and requested modifications to the scan data and then that file is 3D printed and shipped directly to the surgeon.  The surgeon uses the 3D printed models for preoperative planning purposes, surgical guides and more.  The 3D printed parts can be hollow or solid filled, can be made of flexible material and can be made in different colors.
